A 60-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka has been apprehended by Bolesławiec police. At his home, police officers found 8,500 packs of cigarettes and 55 kg of tobacco without Polish excise stamps. Their value exceeds PLN 77,000. What is more, after searching the suspect’s home, police officers also seized a gas pistol (9 mm calibre), for which the 60-year-old did not have a permit.
The detainee now faces up to three years in prison.
