This year marks the 93rd anniversary of the restoration of independence. On Friday, 11 November, Powiat Bolesławiecki invites residents to celebrate this event. The programme includes:
- Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- 10:45 – gathering of standards and banners
- 10:50 – artistic programme performed by students of the Youth Cultural Centre
- 11:00 – address by the county head and Mass for the Homeland with the participation of the military
- Market Square
- 12:20 – entrance of the honour company and sub-units of the 23 BA onto Bolesławiec Market Square, and positioning of the standards of veterans’ and school organisations
- 12:30 – submission of the report to the commander of the 23 BA
- 12:32 – raising of the national flag
- 12:34 – national anthem
- 12:38 – welcoming of guests
- 12:40 – introduction to the ceremony: information about National Independence Day
- 12:43 – address by the county head
- 12:50 – presentation of independence commemorative acknowledgements
- 12:55 – Roll Call of Remembrance
- 13:00 – honour volley
- 13:05 – Representative Song of the Polish Armed Forces – band
- 13:10 – end of the ceremony
- 13:10 – escorting the standards away and marching through the city streets
The ceremony will be enhanced by a performance by the historical reenactment group of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Company “Commando”.
