The case was the result of several months of operational work by officers from Legnica and Wrocław. The police investigated an environment suspected of criminal activity involving drug trafficking, handling stolen goods and vehicle thefts.
Investigators' findings indicate that the group members were involved in obtaining and distributing significant quantities of drugs, primarily marijuana and methamphetamine. Police gathered evidence, analysed links between the suspects and established how their activities operated.
The operation involved officers from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Life and Health of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, as well as officers combating vehicle crime from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
Operation in Legnica and at Wrocław airport
The arrests took place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. Police carried out coordinated operations at several addresses in Legnica and at Wrocław Airport.
Given the nature of the case, officers from the Independent Counter-Terrorism Police Units in Wrocław and Opole took part in the operation. They forcibly entered selected apartments and a house.
At the same time, officers at Wrocław airport conducted operations supported by members of the Operational and Investigative Group of the Border Guard Post in Wrocław-Strachowice. Three people were arrested there.
A total of seven people were detained by the services. Six are suspected of belonging to an organised criminal group. They included two women aged 55 and 29, and four men aged 58, 36, 30 and 20.
Drugs, cash and gold. What did the officers seize?
During the searches, police found items and documents that may be of significant importance to the proceedings.
Among other things, they seized:
- nearly 5,000 doses of methamphetamine and more than 1,500 doses of marijuana, whose black-market value was estimated at PLN 140,000;
- PLN 180,000 in cash;
- gold;

- documents concerning property worth more than PLN 2 million;
- items used to prepare drugs for further distribution.
Officers also uncovered numerous car parts, including meters, lamps and electrical modules. They also seized devices for detecting GPS and GSM signals, as well as equipment that could have been used to bypass vehicle security systems.
The recovered car components will undergo specialist mechanoscopic examinations. They are intended to help determine the origin of the parts and their possible connection with crimes.
Mercedes and Audi thefts. Losses exceeded PLN 300,000

The detainees were brought before the prosecutor's office, where they were charged in connection with the suspected criminal activity. At the prosecutor's request, the court ordered the temporary remand in custody of all seven people.
