Gromadka Municipality is currently carrying out an investment project involving the construction of a bicycle path. The work is still underway, and its completion is planned for the end of September this year. However, as the municipal authorities report, despite the route not having been formally handed over for use, residents have already started using it:
Although the bicycle path has not yet been handed over for use, many people are already eager to use it. Using the path now, before it is handed over for use, is entirely at your own risk.
Wójt of Gromadka Municipality Ryszard Kawka emphasizes that the cases of deliberate damage to elements of the new infrastructure are particularly disturbing. A photograph showing one example of the damage was attached to the published post:
It is wonderful if we can behave decently on it. Unfortunately, however, I do not understand why and what for we have cases of vandalism. The photograph shows a typical example of human malice.
That is not the end of the problems. As the wójt points out, rubbish can also be found on the bicycle path itself and along its edges:
I should add that rubbish can also be seen on the bicycle path and along its edges. I am astonished. Why do we litter!!!
The authorities of Gromadka appeal to residents to respect the new infrastructure, which is intended to serve the local community for many years to come. At the same time, they ask people to respond if they witness someone damaging shared property,
“LET US TAKE CARE OF THE COMMON GOOD. Let us respond to cases of vandalism; every piece of information on this matter will help us eliminate inappropriate behavior, and our municipality will be beautiful. Let us not be afraid to stand up to acts of vandalism,” the wójt appealed.
