As established by officers from the Traffic Division of the Zgorzelec police station, the 20-year-old Opel driver failed to adjust his speed to the prevailing road conditions.
As a result, he struck a Volkswagen and then collided with a BMW travelling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the incident, the women driving the vehicles were injured and taken to hospital.
The police remind drivers:
- let us adjust our speed to the road conditions,
- let us maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front,
- let us observe the road situation and anticipate the actions of other drivers,
- let us not allow haste to determine how we drive,
- let us use seat belts,
- let us never get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or other substances that impair psychomotor abilities.
