Police officers from the Bolesławiec traffic unit stopped a 36-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County for inspection after he significantly exceeded the speed limit. The driver was travelling in a built-up area at 103 km/h.

PLN 1,500 fine and 13 penalty points

Exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area results not only in a hefty fine and penalty points, but also in the confiscation of the driving licence.

In this case, the 36-year-old was fined PLN 1,500. He also received 13 penalty points.

The police also confiscated his driving licence. The document was withheld for a period of three months.

He was driving a company car

According to the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, the man was travelling in a company car.

Police officers remind drivers that excessive speed remains one of the main causes of the most serious road incidents. Exceeding the speed limit in built-up areas is particularly dangerous, where drivers must take into account, among other things, the presence of pedestrians and cyclists.
