From 26 August, drivers will use the new bridge over the Bóbr River in Bolesławiec. The crossing was built as part of a major investment involving the expansion of approximately 600 metres of national road No. 94 and the construction of new bridge structures.
This is another important stage of work connected with the reconstruction of the transport system across the Bóbr River. The new crossing has already been inspected for safety and load-bearing capacity. At the end of July, load tests were carried out on the structure, confirming that it was ready for use.
Although traffic will be shifted to the new bridge, the contractor is still carrying out final finishing works there. These include, among other things, installing road traffic safety devices and putting up signage.
The old bridge will be demolished
Opening the new crossing will make it possible to begin the next stage of the investment. After traffic is shifted, the existing bridge will be taken out of service and demolished.
Another new bridge structure will be built in its place, forming part of the final road layout.
The reconstruction covers approximately 600 metres of national road No. 94 in Bolesławiec. Its aim is to create the final transport system in the area of the crossings over the Bóbr River.
The investment will continue until 2027
Drivers must bear in mind that work in the area of DK94 will continue for many months. According to the current schedule, all works are expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.
