The CPN programme was reintroduced by the government to limit the effects of high fuel prices linked to the situation on global markets. The mechanism includes, among other things, setting maximum fuel prices and measures intended to keep prices at the lowest possible level.
Everything indicates that the beginning of the new week brought drivers in Bolesławiec some of the largest one-off fuel price reductions seen in many weeks.
At the ORLEN station on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec, prices currently stand at:
- Pb95 petrol – PLN 6.41/l
- diesel – PLN 7.34/l
- LPG – PLN 3.25/l
- Pb98 Verva petrol – PLN 7.20/l
- Verva diesel – PLN 7.37/l
As recently as the weekend, fuel prices (apart from LPG) were considerably higher. At the MOL station in Bolesławiec, on Zgorzelecka Street, a litre of fuel cost:
- Pb95 petrol – PLN 7.34/l
- diesel – PLN 8.14/l
- LPG – PLN 3.19/l
- Pb98 petrol – PLN 8.14/l
Comparing prices on the two days, substantial reductions are visible:
- Pb95 fell by PLN 0.93 per litre
- diesel fell by PLN 0.80 per litre
- Pb98 fell by PLN 0.94 per litre
This means that a driver filling up with 50 litres of Pb95 petrol will pay approximately PLN 46.50 less than at the weekend. In the case of diesel, the saving on such a fill-up is approximately PLN 40.
Prices at Petroprix
Interestingly, even cheaper fuel is currently offered by the Petroprix network, which is preparing to launch its self-service fuel station at the emerging Quick Bolesławiec retail park on Tysiąclecia Avenue. At this network’s station in Cieszyn, prices currently stand at PLN 5.99 per litre of petrol and PLN 6.99 per litre of diesel. This means that fuel there is cheaper by 42 groszy per litre for Pb95 petrol and 35 groszy per litre for diesel compared with the current prices at the ORLEN station in Bolesławiec.
If a similar pricing policy is maintained after the facility opens in Bolesławiec, drivers may expect some of the lowest fuel prices in the region.
