The faithful of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Nicholas celebrated on Saturday, September 17. A Family Festival was held in the park on Zygmunta Augusta Street in Bolesławiec, during which funds were raised for the renovation of the Bolesławiec Marian Shrine.
The organizers provided many attractions. Thanks to the involvement of numerous companies, the prizes in the raffle were truly impressive. – We raffled off a trip to Italy, a trip to Paris, a trip to Prague, a laptop, two bicycles and many other prizes. We will allocate the raffle proceeds to renovating the shrine – says Rev. Prelate Dr Andrzej Jarosiewicz. Young winners of the Third Religious Song Review for Children and Young People “Cantate Domino” also received prizes.
The parishioners thank the sponsors of the main prizes: Amper Company of Antoni and Robert Opała, Ziemia Bolesławiecka Association with its president Jan Cołokidzi, Marszałek Dairy Products Wholesaler of Krzysztof Marszałek, Cieśla Company of the Cieśla brothers, Rafał Tomczyk’s Roofing and Sheet-Metal Company, Victoria Company of Mariusz Wojciechowicz and Wojciech Farbotko, Durda Advertising Company of Sławomir Durda, Oleńka Service Company of Antonina Kopała, Perfekt Travel Company of Krystyna Juszkiewicz, as well as all the companies that supported the organization of this charitable event.
The festival was supported by: the parish Domestic Church movement, the Association of Catholic Families, the Living Rosary Community, the Renewal in the Holy Spirit movement, the Society of Friends of the Major Seminary, the Liturgical Service, the Bolesławiec Brass Band, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, the women who baked delicious cakes, Rev. Przemysław, Rev. Mariusz and Rev. Łukasz.
The parish organized the Family Festival together with the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Company “Commando”, the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade, the Search and Rescue Unit in Stanisławów and the Bolesławiec Cultural Center—International Ceramics Center.
We will announce how much money the parish managed to raise next Sunday.
