Another change on DK94 in Bolesławiec

The reconstruction of DK94 in Bolesławiec is entering its next stage. According to information provided by the contractor, from Friday, August 14, 2026, the temporary traffic organization will change in the area of the ongoing reconstruction of the existing bridge and construction of a new bridge over the Bóbr River.

One of the most important changes will be the restoration of two-way vehicle traffic on provincial road No. 350, namely Widok Street, along the section from the intersection with Fieldorfa Nila Street to the intersection with Ceramiczna Street.

The way drivers pass through the Jerzy Szmajdziński Roundabout will also change. Instead of the current layout, drivers will encounter a three-arm intersection.

Right of way will be maintained along national road No. 94. Zgorzelecka Street will remain open to traffic, but it will be subordinate to DK94.

Changes for pedestrians too

The new traffic organization will also include pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians will be able to walk along the national road from the existing crossing on the right-hand side of the road, traveling toward the city center, as far as Zgorzelecka Street.

A pedestrian crossing at the intersection with Masarska Street will also remain in operation.

According to the contractor's announcement, this stage of the temporary traffic organization is to remain in effect until the end of August.

Traffic is to be moved onto the new bridge in August

The changes to traffic organization are part of a larger project being carried out on DK94. A nearly 600-meter section of the road is being reconstructed, and two new bridges will be built at the site of the existing crossing over the Bóbr.

The transfer of traffic to the new crossing is planned for August. The bridge has already undergone load tests, which were carried out at the end of July.

Work related to access roads to the structure is currently underway. The contractor is laying the road surface and installing road traffic safety equipment.

Once traffic is transferred to the new bridge, the next stage of the project will begin. The existing bridge will be demolished, and a second new crossing will be built in its place.

Two new bridges over the Bóbr

Ultimately, drivers will use two new bridges. Each crossing will have a two-lane roadway, a sidewalk and a bicycle path.

The section of DK94 will also be reconstructed. Turbo roundabouts are planned on both sides of the crossing to ensure smoother traffic flow and allow drivers to choose the appropriate direction of travel.
