Registration is underway for the 10th edition of New Horizons Film Education, a project that last year brought nearly 55,500 primary, middle and upper-secondary school students to cinemas across Lower Silesia.
Screenings will be held at the Forum cinema in Bolesławiec and in the major cities of Lower Silesia (Jelenia Góra, Legnica, Wałbrzych, Głogów and Wrocław). The project offers participants the opportunity to see film productions from the early days of cinema as well as films from recent years, selected by a team of experts—film scholars, psychologists and educators.
Stowarzyszenie Nowe Horyzonty—the project’s creator—together with the Nowa Era publishing house, has prepared a screening of the film “In a Better World” for interested teachers. The Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning story follows two Danish families whose lives become intertwined when the children—Elias and Christian—sit together in a school classroom.
An organizational meeting and the film screening will take place on Thursday (22 September) at 4:00 p.m. at the Forum cinema. For further information about the project, contact its coordinator, Iwona Bojko: tel. 75 64455 93, e-mail: impresariat@bok.boleslawiec.pl.
