The District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec has received a modern POLARIS RANGER XP 1000 NORDIC PRO 2026 all-terrain vehicle, purchased by Bolesławiec County thanks to a subsidy from the state budget under the Population Protection and Civil Defence Programme. The investment was worth PLN 178 747.
The vehicle was handed over today at the headquarters of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec. The meeting was attended by the Bolesławiec County Executive Tomasz Gabrysiak, Deputy Bolesławiec County Executive Patryk Hałka and the Commander of the State Fire Service District Headquarters in Bolesławiec, Senior Brigadier Andrzej Śliwowski.
The new vehicle will significantly increase firefighters’ operational capabilities during operations in hard-to-reach areas. Equipped with four-wheel drive, 36 cm of ground clearance and a winch with a pulling capacity of more than 2 tonnes, it will enable rescue operations to be carried out efficiently in forests, wetlands and wherever access for standard emergency vehicles is difficult.
The POLARIS has a fully enclosed and heated cabin, LED lighting, a radio transceiver and a transport trailer. It is also equipped with a snowplough, allowing it to support firefighters’ operations throughout the year—both during rescue operations and when removing the effects of natural disasters or carrying out tasks related to population protection and civil defence.
The purchase of the specialist vehicle is another investment by Bolesławiec County in residents’ safety and in developing the capabilities of services responsible for protecting life, health and property. Thanks to the new equipment, firefighters have gained resources that will enable them to provide assistance even more effectively in the most difficult terrain conditions.
