Residents of Nowa Kuźnia are complaining about the lack of bus connections with Bolesławiec after the private carrier allegedly suspended services until the end of August. A person contacted the editorial team claiming that the decision has caused serious problems with daily travel to work, offices and doctors. Reader:
The Nowa Kuźnia – Bolesławiec and Bolesławiec – Nowa Kuźnia services have been suspended until the end of August. How are people supposed to get to work if there is no transport there – neither PKS nor anything else?
As he added, the connections are not expected to be restored until 1 September, when the holidays end and students return to school.
– People work, but those from the village have no way to get to work – he stressed.
Questions to the carrier remain unanswered
On 7 July, the editorial team sent the private carrier questions about the suspension of the connections. We had not received a response by the time the article was published. We were also unable to contact the carrier by phone.
Questions were also sent to PKS Bolesławiec
Following reports from residents, the editorial team also contacted PKS Bolesławiec with questions about the possibility of providing alternative transport. We are awaiting a response.
We will return to the matter
Once the carriers' positions are received, we will supplement the article with their explanations. If the services do indeed remain suspended until the end of August, this may mean that some residents of Nowa Kuźnia will have to look for alternative transport over the coming weeks.
