In the 2011/2012 school year, Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki opened twenty art studios for residents of all ages. All classes are free of charge.

“The development of Bolesławiec residents’ talents is the most important thing, which is why I decided that all classes in the studios would be free of charge,” says BOK-MCC director Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska. “In this way, I want to give less affluent residents equal opportunities.”

Bolesławiec residents can register for music, dance and visual arts studios, as well as the film studio. The classes are led by experienced and talented instructors. Modern, professionally equipped rooms ensure comfortable working conditions. Amatorski Ruch Artystyczny offers an opportunity to present participants’ talents to a wider audience.

Various groups and associations operating in Bolesławiec also meet in the studios, including Klub Nauczycielski Carpe Diem, members of Akademia III wieku and the local branch of Związek Emerytów i Rencistów.

Special workshops and exhibitions are organized for people attending classes at BOK-MCC studios, providing an opportunity to present themselves to a wider audience.

“I warmly invite everyone to the three new studios that I opened this year,” Lijewska-Małachowska announces. “I invite children and young people to participate in the classes at the vocal studio of Agnieszka Orawiec. For adults who love to sing, I propose classes with the choir led by Aleksander Samostrokow, well known to Bolesławiec residents from the Music School. It will also be possible to take part free of charge in oriental dance classes at the studio of Alicja Kowal, who runs the ‘Arabeska’ dance school,” adds the BOK-MCC director.

People interested in participating in the classes can register at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point, tel. 75 645 32 90.
