In Bolesławiec, the alarm sirens may be activated between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.. Officials emphasize that during the exercises, the signals may be emitted several times, so residents should not interpret them as information about a real threat.
What signals may be emitted?
Two basic alarm signals are planned as part of the exercises:
- Alarm announcement – a modulated siren sound lasting 3 minutes.
- All-clear – a continuous siren sound lasting 3 minutes.
The exercises are being conducted in accordance with the applicable regulations concerning contamination detection systems and notification of their occurrence.
