In the statement issued, the company announced that the water supplied to consumers in the town and gmina of Wleń, the town and gmina of Lwówek Śląski, Bolesławiec Gmina and the town of Bolesławiec is safe and meets all quality requirements for water intended for consumption.
The statement was issued in connection with residents’ concerns about the situation involving the Bóbr River. The water utility nevertheless emphasizes that the water supplied to consumers does not come from surface intakes using river water. The water-supply system – PWiK Dolina Bobru stresses – relies exclusively on deep-water intakes.
The company also assures that water quality is continuously monitored. The inspections conducted so far have not revealed any signs of deterioration in the quality of the water being extracted.
Nevertheless – as part of preventive measures – the frequency and scope of testing at all intakes have been increased. The analyses are carried out in parallel by the company’s accredited laboratory and by the District Sanitary Inspector.
At present, residents of the town of Bolesławiec, Bolesławiec Gmina, the town and gmina of Lwówek Śląski, and the town and gmina of Wleń can use water from the water-supply network as usual. According to information provided by the company, the water is safe and meets the applicable quality standards for water intended for consumption.
