After the publication concerning the exit from the area around the Dino store in Kraśnik Dolny, we received a response from Bolesławiec County. Let us recall that a Reader contacted our editorial office and pointed out limited visibility caused by vegetation.
As he reported, drivers leaving the area around the store have difficulty assessing the situation on the road, particularly when vehicles are approaching from the right. In his view, improving safety could involve clearing the vegetation or installing a road mirror.
We contacted Bolesławiec County for its position on the matter. We received the following response:
Bolesławiec County had not previously received any reports concerning limited visibility at the exit from Dino in Kraśnik Dolny. County roads are subject to ongoing inspections in terms of safety and emerging traffic hazards.
The office adds:
As every year, in June ZDP carried out the first mowing of the grass growing along the road shoulder, and this week, in order to improve safety, shoots growing around the trees in the area of the exit in question were cut back. Changing the traffic organization or installing an additional road mirror is unjustified—as a speed limit of 40 km/h applies throughout Kraśnik Dolny.
And it emphasizes:
The current condition of the exit meets visibility and road-traffic safety requirements and complies with the approved Permanent Traffic Organization.
