A serious road incident occurred during the night from Monday to Tuesday in Pilchowice, in Lwówek County. After 2:00 a.m., emergency services received a report of a car that had hit a tree.
Preliminary findings by police officers indicate that a 24-year-old resident of Lwówek County, driving a Kia, left the road for reasons not yet known and then hit a roadside tree.
The woman was taken to hospital. According to officers, fortunately, the injuries she sustained did not prove serious.
During their work at the scene, police officers tested the driver. The test showed the presence of intoxicating substances in her system. Officers are now carrying out further measures to establish the exact course and causes of the incident.
Police remind the public that driving under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances poses a serious threat to the life and health of all road users. Officers are appealing to drivers to act responsibly behind the wheel and stress that even a small amount of substances affecting concentration and reaction time can lead to tragic consequences.
