The opening of an exhibition of works by Mirosław Kociński, a visual artist and ceramicist, will take place on Friday, August 26, at the Gallery of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre. It begins at 6:00 p.m.. The exhibition will be open to visitors until September 29. “The openwork platters I create are primarily a technological experiment,” says the artist. “I also made the platters from the chamotte–glass series as an experiment. To obtain a thick, substantial layer of glaze, I combined glassmaking and ceramic techniques. I also regularly create functional vessels, designs and short prototype series of tea and coffee sets, as well as bowls, platters and flowerpots.
