The reconstruction of the road began less than a month ago. Staroszkolna Street was in terrible condition, and everyone was pleased that it would finally improve. However, the work lasted only a few days. The old surface was removed, a rough layer of new asphalt was laid, and curbs were installed. Then the construction workers disappeared. Gravel lies along the street, the manholes have sunk even lower than before the renovation, and at the exit onto Chrobrego Street you could lose a wheel. In addition, rods protrude from the posts near the bends.

Deputy County Head Stanisław Chwojnicki, responsible for county roads, casually says that everything is in order and that a renovation lasting several months is not actually that long.

– Everything is proceeding according to plan. The project will be completed at the end of September. In my opinion, the modernization of this street is not taking particularly long at all. Staroszkolna Street is now passable. The road will still be reinforced and leveled, and driveways to the plots will also be built – says Stanisław Chwojnicki.

Why do renovations financed with public money drag on for so long? Why do officials agree to work lasting several months when the reconstruction could be completed much faster? What responsibility should an official bear for a contract that allows the renovation to be carried out for so long? You can express your opinion below. Vote in the poll as well.
