Residents of Gromadka Municipality have been asked to limit water consumption and manage resources more responsibly. The reason is information from the water utility about possible difficulties in maintaining continuous supplies in the event of a sudden increase in consumption.

The announcement was published by Gromadka Municipality head Ryszard Kawka, who addressed residents directly. In the appeal, he stressed that reasonable water use and avoiding unnecessary consumption are currently of key importance.

– Dear residents of Gromadka Municipality. Ladies and gentlemen, I appeal to you to use water sparingly. I have received information from the water utility about difficulties with water supplies if there is a sharp increase in water consumption. Let us respect water – the municipal head said.

At present, no restrictions or interruptions to supplies have been announced. The appeal is preventive in nature and is intended to help avoid a situation in which increased demand—particularly during periods of high temperatures and intensive use of water for household or gardening purposes—could affect the operation of the water supply system.

During periods of increased consumption, local authorities often call for limiting activities that generate high demand, such as prolonged watering of green areas, filling tanks or other tasks that do not require water to be used immediately.

The municipal authorities primarily appeal for residents to act responsibly and in solidarity so that stable supplies can be maintained for all consumers.
