On 25 June 2026 the 29th Session of the Bolesławiec County Council was held.
During the first part of the session, councillors reviewed information concerning the activities of the County Council and the County Board in the period between sessions.
The session also considered reports prepared by the Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie w Bolesławcu concerning the implementation in 2025 of programmes related to preventing domestic violence, corrective and educational measures for people who use domestic violence, and the Strategy for Solving Social Problems in Bolesławiec County for 2016–2026, as well as information on the implementation in 2025 of the County Programme of Activities for Persons with Disabilities for 2021–2025.
An important item on the agenda was the adoption of resolutions concerning the current operation of the county self-government. Councillors adopted resolutions on amending the Bolesławiec County budget for 2026, amending the Bolesławiec County Multiannual Financial Forecast, and providing financial assistance to municipalities in Bolesławiec County.
The session was also an opportunity to honour people who have made a particular contribution to county education. Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak, together with the council presidium, congratulated the directors of educational institutions who had been entrusted with director positions for another term. Congratulations were extended to:
- Małgorzata Kowalska – director of the Powiatowy Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy w Iwinach,
- Laura Słocka – director of the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych w Bolesławcu,
- Andrzej Leśniewski – director of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych w Bolesławcu,
- Cezary Czernatowicz – director of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Bolesławcu.
Awards were also presented to the winners of the “Civic Education in Bolesławiec County” competition. The competition was organised by the Starostwo Powiatowe w Bolesławcu to popularise knowledge about local government, foster civic attitudes and develop interest in the affairs of the local community.
The best results were achieved by:
- Paweł Wcisło, a student of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Władysława Broniewskiego w Bolesławcu,
- Julia Szyptur, a student of the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych im. mjra Henryka Sucharskiego w Bolesławcu,
- Magda Amolin, a student of the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych im. mjra Henryka Sucharskiego w Bolesławcu.
