The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways has signed a contract to renovate the concrete surface of the A4 motorway on the section between the Krzyżowa and Krzywa interchanges. The SAT company from Oława will be responsible for carrying out the project, completing the work for more than PLN 2.3 million.

The investment includes designing and carrying out the renovation or replacement of damaged concrete slabs on one of the key sections of the A4 motorway in Lower Silesia. Road workers will dismantle the surface in places where the slabs have cracked, and then carry out the necessary repairs and surface replacements.

However, this is not the end of the work. As part of the project, the contractor will also repair the shoulders and restore the road markings, which is intended to improve the comfort and safety of travel on this section of the route.

According to GDDKiA, the contractor has undertaken to complete the entire project within 70 days of signing the contract. However, the most important information for drivers concerns traffic disruptions. Work carried out directly on the main motorway carriageway is expected to last no longer than 19 days.

The A4 motorway is one of Poland’s most important transport routes, which is why every investment improving the condition of the surface matters both to drivers travelling locally and to transit traffic. The renovation is intended to eliminate damage to the concrete surface and improve the route’s operating parameters.

GDDKiA announces that it will provide ongoing information about the start date of the work and traffic organization through its social media channels. Drivers planning to travel on the A4 motorway between Krzyżowa and Krzywa should follow announcements concerning any changes to traffic organization.
