The route ran along the picturesque paths of the Lower Silesian Forests, with the start and finish located at Kliczków Castle, and participants could choose from several competitions. There were also attractions for the youngest runners—special children’s races, with medals waiting at the finish, drew entire families.

Participants included runners from various regions of Poland. The warm-up before the races was led by Jolanta Anasiewicz—the world champion and Arnold Classic winner. The event was held, among others, under the patronage of Powiat Bolesławiecki.

BoryRun 2026—behind the scenes of the third edition of the forest running festival

The organizers emphasize, however, that what participants saw at the event—the smooth logistics, route timing, medical facilities, catering and social media support—was the result of six months of work.

“BoryRun is our additional commitment, alongside work, school and everyday responsibilities,” the organizers say in a summary post. “Every meeting, phone call, application, design, set of regulations, partner and even social media post was prepared in the evenings, after hours and at weekends. There was exhaustion, stress and moments when a day was simply too short. But seeing hundreds of people on the routes, children with medals and families spending time together made all the sacrifices fade away,” they add.

This year’s edition was also groundbreaking because it was organized by the BoryRun Association for the first time. For the organizing team, this means enormous responsibility, but also confirmation that a lasting project can be built out of a passion for sport, health and people.

The organizers thank the co-organizers, partners, volunteers, services and everyone who supported them in recent months. And they announce that this is not the end.

“BoryRun is created by people. And that is the most beautiful thing about it all,” they conclude.
