In Kliczków, another edition of the BoryRun Running Festival took place. The start and finish were located at Kliczków Castle, while the routes led through the picturesque areas of the Lower Silesian Wilderness. The program included a marathon, half marathon, 10-kilometer Castle Run, 10-kilometer Uniformed-Services Run and a 5-kilometer Nordic walking event.

The event was organized by Stowarzyszenie BoryRun. The event was conceived by Andrzej Stefańczyk, the association’s president, marathon runner and promoter of running. As he had previously explained, the idea of organizing a race in the Lower Silesian Wilderness was born after his participation in the New York Marathon. He pointed out that the area around Kliczków and the forest paths of the Lower Silesian Wilderness are a natural setting for such an event.

Honorary patronage over the event was provided by: Fundacja KGHM, Powiat Bolesławiecki, 23 Śląski Pułk Artylerii and Dolny Śląsk. The co-organizers were: Zamek Kliczków, Lasy Państwowe, Nadleśnictwo Bolesławiec and Gmina Osiecznica. The portal istotne.pl was one of the event’s media partners.

A special place in the program was occupied by the 10-kilometer Uniformed-Services Run, prepared for representatives of uniformed services and defense communities. Competitors completed the route in uniform, which increased the difficulty of the competition.

The organizers also prepared BoryRun Active for children and teenagers. It was a program of physical activity, games and fitness tasks without screens. Children received race numbers, completed the prepared challenges and, after finishing the activities, received commemorative medals.

BoryRun 2026 combined sporting competition, the promotion of an active lifestyle and family time outdoors. Participants ran and walked in the surroundings of Kliczków Castle and the Lower Silesian Wilderness.
