On Friday, May 22, the ceremonial County Firefighter’s Day celebrations were held at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec in Bolesławiec. The ceremony was also an opportunity to present decorations and promotions to officers of the State Fire Service and volunteer firefighters from Bolesławiec County.
On behalf of Bolesławiec County, the event was attended by Bolesławiec starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak, who expressed his appreciation and thanks to the firefighters for their daily service, readiness to provide assistance and professionalism in rescue operations.
During the ceremony, departmental decorations and distinctions were presented, as well as appointments to higher service ranks. Among those decorated was starosta T. Gabrysiak, who – by decision of the Minister of the Interior and Administration – received the Bronze Badge “Meritorious for Fire Protection” and was also awarded the Silver Medal “For Merits in Firefighting” by resolution of the Presidium of the Provincial Branch Board of the Volunteer Fire Brigades Association of the Republic of Poland.
This year’s celebrations also expressed gratitude to all State Fire Service officers and volunteer firefighters for their responsible and dedicated service.
