Effective cooperation between officers from the Lower Silesian and Łódź Voivodeships led to the detention of a man suspected of burglary and the recovery of stolen property worth approximately PLN 60,000.

The detention took place on the A4 motorway during an operation conducted by policewomen from the Road Traffic Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters.

While on duty on one of the motorway sections, the officers received information about a vehicle combination that was believed to have come from a crime committed in the Łódź Voivodeship.

The policewomen quickly located the indicated delivery van with a car trailer and intervened.

During the roadside check, they confirmed that both the delivery vehicle and the trailer had been stolen during a burglary several days earlier.

A 45-year-old resident of Wrocław was behind the wheel. During further procedures, the officers established that the man should not have been driving at all. His driving privileges had been revoked by an official decision. Despite this, he got behind the wheel again.

The man was detained. The recovered vehicles were secured and then handed over to police officers from the Łódź Voivodeship, who are conducting further proceedings in the case.

The total value of the recovered property was estimated at approximately PLN 60,000. Under the applicable regulations, the 45-year-old faces a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
