A 30-year-old man suspected of breaking into one of the garages in the Bolesławiec Rural Municipality and stealing a motorcycle worth PLN 8,000 was apprehended by police officers from Kruszyn. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 28. Early in the morning, the police dispatcher received a report of the vehicle theft. A patrol immediately went to the scene.
The officers spotted the suspect. They gave him clear signals to stop. When he saw the police car, the 30-year-old sped up and fled. The police gave chase. At one point, the motorcyclist skidded, fell over and began fleeing on foot. He was arrested moments later.
It turned out that the 30-year-old had already been convicted of similar offenses. He now faces up to 10 years in prison. The officers returned the stolen vehicle to its owner.
