At a specially convened session of the City Council, a vote was held on the level of fees for municipal kindergartens. Ten councillors voted in favour, while three abstained. The rest were absent. The resolution was therefore adopted.

For each hour of classes (above the five free hours per day), parents will pay not 0.19, as proposed at the beginning of this month, but 0.185 of the minimum wage. This means that for nine hours per day, parents will pay approximately PLN 210.

The difference between the increase planned at the beginning of July and today's increase is only a few złoty per month. However, the councillors needed more than three weeks to be convinced.

It should also be noted that the daily meal rate will increase from PLN 5 to PLN 6 starting in September. This means that with 20 working days, feeding a child will cost PLN 120 per month. Importantly, if the child is absent from kindergarten, the fee for unused meals will be refunded.

The following councillors were absent from today's session:

  1. Stanisław Andrusieczko (SLD)
  2. Adam Biesiadecki (KW Piotra Romana)
  3. Dariusz Filistyński (KW Piotra Romana)
  4. Renata Fredyk (KW Piotra Romana)
  5. Wojciech Kasprzyk (PO)
  6. Arkadiusz Krzemiński (PO)
