The seventeenth edition of the National Youth Olympics in Summer Sports was held on Friday, July 22, at the stadium in Płock. Approximately 800 athletes competed, including six representatives of the Bolesłavia Inter-School Sports Club. Excellent performances were recorded by Beata Dąbal and Bartosz Wróbel. Both won silver medals: Beata in the shot put (she was 14th in the discus throw), and Bartosz in the 2,000 m steeplechase (the only athlete to finish ahead of our competitor was Mateusz Bak, this year’s Polish cross-country champion).
In the 2,000 m steeplechase, she also performed very well Dominika Kamińska, who finished in seventh place. The places outside the top ten went to: Grzegorz Szuszkiewicz (hammer throw), Kaja Caban (high jump) and Marek Pławiak (octathlon).
