Those traveling along national road No. 3 should exercise particular caution when passing through Wojcieszyce in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. On Tuesday, May 6, precisely at 12:00 p.m., a new speed camera monitoring vehicle speeds was activated there.
The new device operates at a location where the speed limit is 40 km/h. This means that even a minor violation of the limit may result in a fine and penalty points. The location has been placed under automatic road-traffic surveillance as part of measures intended to improve the safety of road users.
Experts remind drivers that new speed cameras most often appear in places considered particularly dangerous or where traffic violations have previously occurred frequently. Drivers should pay attention not only to signs indicating enforcement, but above all adjust their speed to the applicable limits.
The activation of the new device in Wojcieszyce is another stage in the expansion of Poland’s automatic road-traffic surveillance network. In recent months, CANARD has been systematically activating new measurement points on national roads and in towns where increasing the level of safety is necessary.
