Part of Termy Bolesławiec was temporarily closed following a so-called fecal incident in the pool. The situation was quickly noticed by the lifeguards and the facility’s technical staff, after which the applicable sanitary procedures were immediately implemented.
The pool was closed right away. Cleaning of the installations and water filtration also began immediately. So-called shock chlorination was carried out as well.
MOSiR stresses that the jacuzzi and saunas are expected to reopen today, while the reopening of the main recreational pool depends on the results of the water tests.
Was it deliberate?
After news of the incident, internet users began speculating about whether the situation had been the result of deliberate action—and whether the person responsible for all the confusion could be identified. As the facility director told us, this is really difficult to detect.
At the same time, he expressed hope that it had been an ordinary accident rather than a malicious act.
It does not happen often, but it does happen
As we managed to establish, such incidents are not frequent, but they do occur. The last situation of this kind took place in the autumn of last year.
