Drivers traveling on the A4 motorway toward Zgorzelec are raising the alarm about serious traffic disruptions which, they claim, occur regularly and have remained unresolved for a long time.
The problem occurs near the exit to Godzieszów, where, according to drivers, traffic is being blocked by cars waiting to enter a petrol station.
One driver has just described the situation in a dramatic appeal to the media:
Please, I beg you, write an article about this. We have been standing on the emergency lane for an hour trying to exit the A4 toward Godzieszów. Drivers refueling at E100 are blocking the road all the way to the A4 exit. The police have been called several times without any effect; the police do not want to help us.
He added: – This happens here regularly; nobody wants to help. We call the police and there is no response.
At present, there is no official statement from the police or the road administrator on the matter. Drivers hope, however, that publicizing the problem will lead to real action and improve the situation on one of the key sections of the A4 motorway.
