On the A4 motorway, a new section speed enforcement system has been activated. The system was switched on today at 12:00 by the Centrum Automatycznego Nadzoru nad Ruchem Drogowym and covers the section between the Krzyżowa and Krzywa interchanges in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship.

The system operates exclusively on the carriageway heading toward Zgorzelec. This is important information for drivers traveling west through Poland and toward the border with Germany. The monitored section is as long as 10.3 kilometers, making it one of the longer systems of this type in the country.

Speed limits on this section are 110 km/h for passenger cars and 80 km/h for heavy goods vehicles.

The system measures the average speed of travel between two points, meaning that slowing down briefly before a camera will not help drivers avoid a fine.

Section speed enforcement is a solution that is becoming increasingly popular in Poland. Its aim is to improve safety and reduce the number of accidents on the most dangerous routes. Unlike traditional speed cameras, the system monitors driving behavior along the entire section of road.

Drivers should exercise particular caution and adjust their speed to the applicable regulations. Otherwise, they may face not only a fine but also penalty points and, in extreme cases, loss of their driving licence.
