Włodzimierz Hibner has become the new secretary of Bolesławiec Municipality.

The new secretary has been involved in public, local-government and academic activities for years, consistently combining legal knowledge with work for the local community. As a doctor of legal sciences and an academic lecturer, he has built his position on solid education and experience, which over the years he has used both in his professional and community work.

In his activities, he devoted particular attention to the affairs of residents of Nowy Tomyśl County. From 2007 to 2014, he served as the District Consumer Ombudsman in Nowy Tomyśl, where he dealt with protecting consumer rights, provided advice and supported people who needed help in legal disputes. It was a period of intensive work for residents, requiring not only knowledge but also commitment and responsibility.

Another important stage in his career was serving as Mayor of Nowy Tomyśl, a position he held for ten years—from 2014 to 2024. During that time, he was responsible for the development of the town and municipality, the implementation of investments and actions aimed at improving residents’ quality of life. His local-government activities focused on developing local infrastructure, supporting community initiatives and building a modern local government.

Włodzimierz Hibner was also involved in healthcare-related matters as a member of the Social Council at the Independent Public Healthcare Facility named after Dr. Kazimierz Hołoga in Nowy Tomyśl. Through many years of work in various areas of public life, he became known as a competent and committed person who consistently works for his community.

Outside his professional work, he also remains socially active. He is a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Bukowiec, demonstrating his attachment to the local community and his willingness to engage in activities requiring responsibility and cooperation with others.
