A Reader contacted us:
(…) I am writing to ask you to publicize the issue concerning the pedestrian and bicycle path between Bolesławiec and Łąka, because there is a problem with keeping it clean. As nearby residents, we have repeatedly cleaned up rubbish thrown onto this path by others.
And she added:
Now (...) not only is it covered with rubbish, but the entire route is covered with glass.
And she concluded:
Someone must have been bored, because they smashed bottles, and it is a problem, (...) since there is not even any way to avoid it.
We have written many times in these pages about the mess left by partygoers in various places throughout our county. Often, when the matter concerned the City of Ceramics, we also asked either the municipal police or the Municipal Housing Management Authority for comment on the issue. We understand that it is impossible to eliminate this problem completely. We know that the services cannot stand guard in one place around the clock.
So perhaps it is worth ONCE AGAIN – certainly rather naively – appealing to fans of spending time outdoors (and drinking) to take their rubbish with them. All the more so now that spring is in full swing and county residents will certainly be going for walks or bike rides more often. And quite frequently with small children. And dogs.
We appeal to the manager responsible for the path to take action!
