Soon, people arriving at Kaufland to shop will be required to obtain a free parking ticket before entering the store. Free parking will be available for a specified period, while drivers planning to park for longer will have to pay a fee.

The first signs informing drivers about the changes have already appeared in the car park, including “Parking Meter” and “Get a free ticket” signs. Boards displaying the car park regulations are also already in place. The new rules are intended to organise the situation and ensure greater availability of spaces for store customers.

The introduction of parking meters by retail chains is primarily a response to the growing problem of an insufficient number of parking spaces compared with the number of cars.

Car parks at stores are used not only by customers but also by people who leave their vehicles there for longer periods—often to go to work elsewhere or handle matters outside the store premises.

An additional factor is the paid parking zone operating in the centre of Bolesławiec. As a result, many drivers look for free spaces outside its boundaries, placing increased pressure on nearby car parks, including the one at Kaufland.
