The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon. The services received a report concerning a situation at the gravel pit in Rakowice Małe. Officers were informed that a passenger car had fallen into the water and sunk.
According to Lwówecki.info, preliminary findings indicate that the incident occurred while “pulling a boat out to transport it on a trailer.” The boat pulled the vehicle and trailer into the body of water.
The vehicle was successfully retrieved. Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries.
Firefighters from JRG PSP in Lwówek Śląski, volunteers from OSP Zbylutów, and the Specialist Water and Diving Rescue Group from Legnica took part in the operation.
