The evening intervention on the A4 motorway near Bolesławiec was another Wednesday callout for firefighters from Krzyżowa. At 6:52 p.m., the officers were dispatched to a car fire at the 50th kilometer of the route toward Wrocław. Units quickly arrived at the scene and began fighting the fire.
The operation involved crews from OSP KSRG Krzyżowa, JRG Bolesławiec and OSP KSRG Różyniec.
Fortunately, the fire was quickly brought under control. No one suffered any serious injuries.
This was already the third callout for the Krzyżowa firefighters that day. Earlier, the services had taken part in training exercises and a site inspection in Trzebień, then extinguished a ground-cover fire in Parkoszów and a forest fire in Kozłów.
