A 31-year-old Volkswagen Polo driver, traveling from Ścinawa toward Lubin, hit a 71-year-old cyclist while overtaking a Volkswagen Passat. The man was crossing the roadway at an unauthorized location.
As reported by the lubin.pl portal, officers from the police station in Ścinawa were the first to arrive at the scene and began resuscitating the injured man.
The emergency medical team then took over, but the cyclist could not be saved. The road toward Ścinawa was temporarily blocked.
This is another fatal accident in the Lubin area. On Monday (April 13), two young people died.
