The incident occurred on Thursday evening at Lubań Śląski station. According to Koleje Dolnośląskie, train traffic was suspended after a person was hit.

The disruptions affect, among others, line D1 running from Wrocław through Legnica, Chojnów, Bolesławiec and Węgliniec to Lubań Śląski. The current timetable for this route is valid from 14 June to 29 August 2026.

Train no. 69581 from Wrocław Główny, scheduled to depart at 19:45 and travel to Lubań Śląski, was cancelled on the Węgliniec – Lubań Śląski section. Replacement bus transport was introduced for passengers. The Koleje Dolnośląskie timetable confirms the 19:45 departure from Wrocław on this line.

The changes also affect train no. 66840 operating between Świeradów-Zdrój and Węgliniec. From Lubań Śląski, the service was rerouted via Zgorzelec. The carrier warns that the train may be delayed.

Replacement bus transport is operating on the Węgliniec – Lubań Śląski – Węgliniec section.

The problems are also affecting other connections. Train no. 69536 from Węgliniec to Legnica, scheduled to depart at 22:22, is approximately 30 minutes late. This is a secondary delay related to earlier disruptions. Train 69536 is also included in the current Koleje Dolnośląskie timetable for the route running through Bolesławiec to Legnica.

The extent of the delays may change. Passengers travelling in the evening through Bolesławiec, Węgliniec and Lubań should check the latest information about their trains before departure.
