As reported by GDDKiA, the project will include two new bridges: the northern one—built at a new location next to the existing crossing—and the southern one, which will replace the current bridge after its demolition.
The new structure will be a three-span prestressed-concrete bridge approximately 115 metres long. Structural work is currently underway, including the installation of reinforcement and construction of load-bearing elements.
Earlier GDDKiA announcements also indicated that one of the key stages of the project had already been completed—the concreting of the load-bearing structure of the new bridge—followed by the start of prestressing.
The project includes not only the construction of crossings over the Bóbr, but also the reconstruction of a section of national road No. 94, the construction of turbo roundabouts, and pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.
The new bridges will each have two traffic lanes, pavements and cycle paths, which will significantly improve safety and traffic capacity.
On Thursday, April 9, a new surface was being laid on the emerging structure, indicating that the project is at an advanced stage.
The construction of new bridges over the Bóbr is one of the region’s key road investments and will significantly improve traffic flow and safety for all road users in the future.
