“Man on the Roof” in Bolesławiec: An Unusual Emergency Services Call

An unusual call was received on 9 April before noon on Łukasiewicza Street in Bolesławiec. The emergency services were informed that a person was on the roof of a block of flats, which immediately prompted an intervention. It turned out at the scene, however, that the situation looked completely different from what had been assumed.

On 9 April, after 10:00 a.m., the incident occurred on Łukasiewicza Street in Bolesławiec. The emergency services were notified that someone was on the roof of the building.

The emergency services—fire service and police—went to the scene.

What turned out to be the case?

It emerged that the “man on the roof” was an employee of a renovation crew who... had gone onto the roof with a bicycle. (He did not want anyone to steal the bicycle).

The incident was classified as a false alarm. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
