District police officers from the Police Station in Karpacz detained a 30-year-old resident of Legnica suspected of driving in breach of a court-imposed driving ban, theft, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. – A few days ago, a woman came to the station and reported the theft of money and jewelry worth a total of nearly PLN 11,000 – explains asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters. – According to her account, she suspected a man she had met on a dating website of committing the crime. The couple lived together for several weeks, but after her friend disappeared, the woman noticed that valuable items were missing.
The police immediately began efforts to establish the suspect’s whereabouts. Based on the information gathered and an analysis of surveillance footage, they quickly identified the location where the man might be. Less than two hours later, the 30-year-old was detained. Spokesperson:

The officers found a firearm and ammunition in his vehicle for which he did not have the required permit. They also established that the man had been driving despite an active court-imposed driving ban.
The 30-year-old was detained and taken to police custody. He was charged with a total of five offenses, including theft, failure to comply with a court ban, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Spokesperson: – He will now face trial for the crimes committed and could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.
