During the ceremonial Village Head Day celebration, held at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, two long-serving women village heads from Gmina Bolesławiec were among those honored: Janina Warowy (Chościszowice) and Ewa Surma (Nowa).

For years, both women have worked with great dedication for their communities. They remain close to local residents, support local initiatives and contribute to the development of their villages. Their work demonstrates the important role a village head plays in rural life – bringing residents together, helping solve problems and engaging the community in joint action.
