Bolesławiec police officers received a report from a local hospital in the evening concerning an intoxicated 66-year-old woman.

Police:

The information indicated that the woman had brought her mother to the emergency department because of an abnormal blood sugar level. When medical staff smelled alcohol on the 66-year-old and learned that she had been driving the vehicle, they called the Police to the scene.

A breathalyzer test showed 1.5 per mille of alcohol in her system.

Road traffic officers confiscated the 66-year-old’s driving licence. As the District Police Headquarters (KPP) points out: “The car in which the residents of Bolesławiec County arrived was correctly parked by the facility’s fence.”

The 66-year-old faces charges for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. This offence carries a penalty of up to 3 years’ imprisonment and a driving ban. The officers:

Such conduct poses a serious threat not only to her and her passenger, but also to other road users. The officers remind the public that in such situations, the safest solution is to call an ambulance.
