Police officers from Bolesławiec’s Economic Crime Unit, working together with officers of the National Revenue Administration from Zgorzelec, shut down an illegal venue in Bolesławiec containing devices used for gambling. Police: – The operation was the result of previously conducted investigative activities and findings indicating that activities were being carried out in violation of the applicable regulations.
At the selected location, officers secured four gambling machines and several thousand złoty.
In connection with the case, two women were arrested: a 25-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County and a 63-year-old resident of Legnica County. Both suspects were charged with a fiscal offence. This type of act is punishable by up to three years’ imprisonment.
The case remains ongoing, and officers do not rule out further arrests.
