The incident took place on February 16, before 10:00 p.m., on voivodeship road No. 296, between Henryków Lubański and Godzieszów. As established by the eluban.pl:
Preliminary findings indicate that the Renault driver lost control of the vehicle on a bend. The car skidded and hit the front of the oncoming truck with its passenger side. The force of the impact was so great that the front and the passenger-side door were completely crushed.
The car's passenger was trapped. Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to reach him. Two people in the Renault were injured—the driver and the passenger—and both were taken to hospital. The latter suffered serious leg injuries.
Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident. Officers are appealing for prudence and caution on the road.
