During a nighttime patrol, officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters stopped a passenger car for inspection. The reason? Faulty license plate lighting.

As it turned out, this was only the beginning of more serious consequences for the young driver.
A 19-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was behind the wheel. During the inspection, officers detected the smell of alcohol on him. The test showed 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The young driver's license was suspended. The officers said: – He will now face court proceedings for driving while intoxicated. He faces a long-term loss of his driver's license, financial consequences, and up to three years in prison.
