We received information from a reader about a sunken paving stone at 9 Łukasiewicza Street in Bolesławiec.
The account and photograph sent by the reader indicate that there is a hole beneath the sunken paving stone, and the undermined pavement may collapse.
The woman wanted to report the situation to the municipal police and tried to reach them by phone, but they do not work on Sundays and public holidays.
We informed PWiK Dolina Bobru in Bolesławiec about the dangerous situation.

PWiK responded quickly to the report. Water utility workers marked and temporarily secured the dangerous location, although this particular place is not part of the company’s network or operational area.
This raises a question. The municipal police do not work on Sundays and public holidays, so who should such situations be reported to on holidays—situations that are reported to the municipal police during the week? This is an issue city officials should consider.
